Pride Fighting Championships:      That was a tough fight.

Barnett:      Of course it was. Everyone was saying that Alexander is scary, he's a monster and I should be careful! It wasn't a problem for me, though.

Pride:     This fight changed very quickly. I think it might have been the first time for the fans to see that kind of fight.

Barnett:     It was exciting. It was high-paced. My style is fast, fast, fast. Heavyweight fighters can't fight at a high pace. I was surprised at how quickly the fight was moving. It was interesting. When my opponent is a Heavyweight fighter, I come in with a lot of stamina, moving around and make them get tired. Then I finish it with "hakuretsuken" ("100 fists" from the comic "Fist of the North Star").

Pride:     Did you expect the fight to become a boxing match?

Barnett:     Alexander's boxing technique is definitely better than his brother Fedor's. He's an orthodox fighter so I can predict what he's going to do. It was impossible to predict what effect this fight would have on the MMA world so I can prepared to handle anything, no matter what happened. I practiced at a boxing gym for this match. I trained a lot with Curtis, Morris and Michael but I'm still only at about 50% of the boxing skill that I need to fight Mirko. I wanted to use more combinations but I think a win is a win. Sorry for talking so much.

Pride:     Who do you want to fight in the 2nd Round? Mirko? Fedor?

Barnett:     Which would you prefer? (laughing) Fedor is the Champion. Although I want to get revenge on Mirko, when I beat him, he will just come after me after that, and it will become repetitive. What I'm doing is my job and I want to make the fans happy. To me, I think it's more important to beat the Champion, Fedor, rather than get revenge on Mirko.
